Rota
Norse culture on the western coast of the eastern continent. Ruled by King Galin, the boy king.
Overview
This kingdom technically spans the lands south of the Farflen forests down to the “wild” areas where the Gnomes, Halflings, and Fey live.
In actuality, the Northern region has a larger population, a stronger economy, and a more consistent power base. The Southern Region, meanwhile, is sparsely populated and borders on wild regions where there are significant concentrations of non-human races.
History
Prior to the "End of the World", the western coast of N'Galt contained the great Syiin empire. The devastation that resulted from that event killed the majority of peoples in this region and drove the civilization back to a very primitive level.
From this primitive culture arose the “Vikings”.

With the fall of Backbone in 1098, Rota became the supreme power in the world. Since that time, they have been forced to constantly look inward to maintain that power. Galin has done an admirable job of holding the kingdom together, but he is not the leader that his mother was. Cale & Strachan are two of his most valued advisors and many of the other barons do not respect his reliance on their magic. As long as the two hold the disks of Odin, though, the church will side with the king in all matters.
