Note: This adventure's encounter comes from “The White Shrine” encounter from “The Shadow Rift of Umbraforge” (part of the “Scales of War” adventure path), as printed in Dungeon Magazine Issue 158 (p.21), by Scott Fitzgerald Gray.

In “Hammerfast”, the party is invited into the main city by Geld Seekingstone, the Loremaster. They explain their purpose in the city and he agrees to let them explore the “sealed” crypt – as long as they do it at night without official sanction.

Once inside, they find a Dark Creeper and some kind of magical gate. The creeper summons a group of Wraiths and an epic battle ensues.

After the battle is done, they find the following stuff:

• 1 Level 6 Magic Item: Horned Helm (Ibiza)
• 1 Level 7 Magic Item: ???
• 1 Level 8 Magic Item: Wand of Psychic Ravaging +2 (Imbo)
• 1 Level 9 Magic Item: ??? (Damazi)
• 1,500 gp
• Some kind of magical gate to an unknown destination
