The history of the Dragonslayers is pretty much lost to time. They were created by a wizard and cleric to destroy dragonkind. The experiment was considered a failure because instead of the 100 they planned, only one survived.

There is only one Dragonslayer at a time, with a continuous bloodline to the first. Dragonslayers *must* produce progeny to pass the power to. Both male and female Dragonslayers have existed (almost all female Dragonslayers die in childbirth, passing the mantle to their children. All Dragonslayers are invisible to dragons; legend also has it that they're invulnerable to dragons, who have used proxies to kill them.

Dragonslayer children develop very quickly and instinctively know their role in life, with large fighter and ranger bonuses. They are considered Native Outsiders. The current Dragonslayer is in love with the hybrid good dragon, visible to her and the two evil hybrid dragons (magically created in a deal between Bahamut and Tiamat, as the slayer was considered a danger even to them. It is still unknown what sort of creature would be born from the breeding of the Dragonslayer and Dragon.

The Dragonslayer has three epic magic items: “The Scale” (magical chain armor), “The Fang” (longbow), and “The Claw” (longsword).

In May, 1113, the Dragonslayer killed Manorgrax, the gold dragon who was protecting Southern Rota from the black dragon, Mosargrax.
