A history of St. Mary's Academy must begin with Blessed Mother Marie Rose Durocher, who was born in 1811 and died in 1849. She founded the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary in 1843 in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.

So far we have learned that the Sisters of the Holy Names are guarding an inter-dimensional portal under St. Mary's Academy in downtown Portland. The Rose City Five has met mostly with Sister Marie Simone, and once with the super-annuated Mother Superior. The latter introduced us to Daemon Roy and the Four Betties.
