#7: "An Unholy Treaty"

Spend over a month in Riprap, consulting with Faun Mardau about both the Mimic Demon and the recent increase in Goblin activity in the region. She/he and the Gnomes reward the party with a variety of magic items – mostly potions and other alchemical items.
26 Sep - 1 Oct
Taking advantage of their relative proximity to the Faramond estate (see Session #2 and Session #3), the party opts to bypass the portal at Bearly and head overland to return to civilization.
1 Oct – (New Moon)
The party arrives at the Faramond estate just as the sun is setting. Rather than wait for the morning, they opt to explore at night. Garril scouts ahead and discovers a band of orcs camped nearby.
After a rousing battle, the party makes their way to the estate, where they are surprised to find it intact. Its main inhabitant is a vampire named “Balo”, and rather than get involved in a dangerous fight, they opt to make an alliance instead.
Garril is the only party member who vocalizes opposition.
