al Ibrahim
Fantastically opulent resort/hotel in the heart of Rota. Caters to only the highest-powered and wealthiest clientele; known to produce anything for any customer 'for the right price'. Linguistically, the name of the hotel is pronounced somewhere between al Ibrahim (from Ibraham) and il Abrahim (son of Abraham), although the residents take no particular curiosity in this. The al Ibrahim is demonstrably larger in the inside than outside; denizens may request at the 'front desk' any sort of room and receive it, from a harem room to a large bath, to a Wizard's lab. These are all located on different 'levels' of the resort, although to the patron, it appears that they have only descended on set of stairs. Included in this size effect is the Grand Ballroom; although from the exterior gate it may seem 1,000 or more patrons have attended a show, it never appears to the patrons themselves that there are more than 50 persons in the Ballroom, lending an intimate feeling and appeal.
Any character casting 'detect life' or similar within 50' or inside the il Abrahim is overwhelmed, and blinded temporarily, yet will not state that the hotel is the source of the 'life'.
Several retired adventurers have found homes in the al Ibrahim, for costs one can only guess. In recent months, the Wizard Kevin Arcana has spent a great deal of time at the il Abrahim, possibly in connection with his control of the Gates.
