Player Character in the V2 Campaign. Aasimar Paladin who grew up on a farm just outside the village of Stillsquall in Southern Rota.
As a Paladin, he is a religious fanatic; this often leads to him announcing the party's intentions toward intelligent (but evil) monsters. Ash is far more a Crusader than a Paladin To this point, he has put himself into considerable danger to 'destroy the Evil' when more tactical maneuvers might be useful. He is somewhat suspicious to the party as a whole, but especially Freyrik, whose spells make him uncomfortable. Devoted to his sister, he still feels her religious fervor to Sif is insufficient. The party is equally uncomfortable with his almost psychotic urge to destroy evil. He has made friends with Yosi, and is often engaged in conversations with Heilli (while trying to convert him) about his ability to channel positive energy by force of will (in this case, his religious fervor allows weak contact to the Positive Material Plan, which Heilli is studying)
Ash fights with a huge two-handed sword, forsaking defense for the ability to cleave evil in twain. He may be compensating for something, but that's just a rumour.
With improved armor and a better understanding of group combat tactics, Ash is no longer the melee liability he had been early in the campaign.
