This town was abandoned during the wars and has not yet been fully resettled. It now serves as a military garrison for King Vyncent's troops in the North, so there are a number of shops and pubs that cater to those soldiers. However, most locals consider the town cursed so only a handful of civilians live here full time.

At any given time, there are normally around 200 soldiers posted here. They rotate in and out of service along with an additional 1,000 that are stationed in the city of Nargundush.

Bastow is governed by a noble aristocrat, the human lord Cuthbehrt.

• The Bloody Shield: A large commoner's tavern, built atop an outcrop of hewn and rune-carved stone.
• Willey's Pottery: The workshop of a male human potter named Marteph Willey, who was once a great wizard, but stumbled into a fortune and retired.
