**Vilani** They died out 100,000 years ago and are hardly more than a legend among modern alien races. But a Vilani spaceship seems to have adopted us. The ship is equipped with a landing craft. The landing craft has a cloak and hologram generator. In sub-orbital mode it moves at 20k mph ( 9 km/sec), non-combat. In atmospheric mode it can go 45 mph in combat, 180 mph non-combat, and can reach the upper stratosphere in about 40 minutes. It has an IR scanner, radar, and broad-spectrum radio. It has internal gravity and with a 8mx4mx4m size it seats about eight. It weighs about 6 tons. The capabilities of the main ship are unknown. It apparently can cross deep space several times faster than any alien technology the Rose City Five have encountered. **Tuleq** The first Tuleq encountered were apparently bloodthirsty hunters, more intent on the pleasure of the hunt than on any strategic plan. This group proved to be an aberration. The Rose City Five defeated a second Tuleq group that had attached a Qua base on the moon. The Five then wagered the fate of the Earth in a ritual combat with the Tuleq leaders. The episode ended with the near-dead Tuleq Chief in the hands of the Rose City Five. **Qua** The Qua have apparently been keeping Earth under surveillance through the special agency of Quantum. They have abandoned their base on the moon.
